Alexander August "Sam" Gondos, age 78 of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2013. He was born April 10, 1934 in Cleveland to the late Alex and Beatrice Gondos. In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Elizabeth Gondos; and brother, Robert Gondos.
Sam is survived by his dear wife of 56 years, Barbara Gondos; daughter and son-in-law: Patricia and Paul Samuels; son, James Gondos; grandchildren: Jordan Samuels, Eli Samuels, Alex Gondos, Tony Gondos, Sarah Gondos and Alisha Gondos; nephew, Robert Gondos; and nieces: Lisa Gondos and Joy Gondos McKinney.
He graduated from Chaminade High School in 1951. Sam served in the Springfield Air National Guard. He began his career in paper sales with Walkup Paper Company, Hull Paper Company and retired from Millcraft Paper Company in 2002. Sam will be greatly missed by his family and friends, old and new for his giving personality and sense of humor.
