Jamie Alexander Oelgoetz ("Alex")
Alex was born on January 18, 1989 in Hampton, Virginia and died on November 25, 2018. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marilyn Oelgoetz-Holzfaster, grandfather, James Oelgoetz, Sr., grandfather, Thomas Collins, Sr., and cousins Ryan King and Jennifer Campbell-Kunze.
He graduated from O'Fallon High School and attended South West Illinois College both in Illinois. Alex graduated from the Ohio Business College Commercial Truck Driving School. Alex served one tour in the United States Army and worked at NVR, Inc. in Dayton, Ohio.
Alex was dearly loved by all who knew him; his kind soul and loving heart; defender of any friend in need; full of compassion for the less fortunate; loved his dog, Payton. He is survived by his mother and father, Jim and Anna Oelgoetz, his brothers, Christopher and Daniel, his grandmother, Mary Collins, numerous relatives, and many friends who knew him as "Blue".
Family will receive friends Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 2-3 p.m. at Newcomer South Dayton Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m.
