Age 68, of New Carlisle, passed away Monday, January 29, 2007, at Good Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.
Alex was born April 4, 1938 in Dayton to Alexander & Hattie (Bystrek) Takacs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, David & Paul.
Alex is survived by his wife of the past 48 years, Ruth E. (Weber) Takacs; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen & Adrian Stacy of New Carlisle; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Nancy Takacs of Huber Heights; two grandchildren, Steve and his wife, Diana Stacy and Amy and her husband, Walter Davis; six great grandchildren; four sisters, Donna Bush, Kathy Stewart, Joy Bartenstein, Susan Smith; and by one brother, James Takacs.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Willowview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer that contributions be made in memory of Alex to the American Cancer Society.
