Alene L. Cansler, age 84, of Kettering, OH passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 20, 2019. Alene was born on October 27, 1935 in Dayton OH. She was the daughter of Corbett Harley Lambert and Alice Marie Post.
For several years Alene worked as a telephone operator for Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She was a member of Belmont VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In 1974, Alene became the Past High Priestess of The Ladies Oriental Shrine, Bara Court #15.
Alene also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Reading books and working jigsaw puzzles. However her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She would look forward to celebrating her favorite holidays, Christmas and the Fourth of July. Along with her faith in God, Alene was also very patriotic and was proud to be an American.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter and sister. She leaves behind a living legacy consisting of her loving daughters, Deb (Bob Mueller) Cansler, Cheryl (Pat) Murnen and Tina Cansler; grandchildren Michael (Kris) Gray, Christopher (Jennifer) Howard, Cory (Jennifer) Juliano and Haley Terlinde; great-grandchildren, Gabby, Jackson, Jase, Howard, Carsyn, Zoey, Harper, Dalton Juliano. Alene is also survived by five siblings including, brothers, Jerry (Debbie), Don (Gail), Larry Lambert and sisters, Connie (Jim) Boyd, Janet (Tom) Kimmel and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Alene was preceded in death by her former husband, William E. Cansler; brother Bud and sister, Shirley.

Visitation for Alene is scheduled for Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 am. Alene will be laid to rest at Forest Hills Cemetery in Tipp City, OH.
