Alena Powell

POWELL, Alena, age 67, passed away Monday, December 28, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Modena Lakes; grandson, Joshua Creech; brothers, Billy Ray and Charles E. Lakes, and sister, Ella Mae Lakes. She is survived by her husband of 50+ years, Henry Powell; children, Sandra Livesay, Randell Powell, and Connie Creech; brothers, James, Delbert, and Johnny Lakes; sister, Lucille Durham; 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of service.
