Alberta Oakes, age 93 of Riverside, passed away March 6, 2017. She was born March 13, 1923 in Crossville, TN to the late Russ and Melinda Henry. In addition to her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by her brothers, sisters and 2 grandchildren: Teresa and Carla.
Alberta is survived by her children: Ray Oakes, Peggy (Dave) Denlinger, Bobby Joe Oakes and Linda Hawkins; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
