Albert S. Slomski

Slomski, Albert S. "Al", formerly of Dayton Ohio, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 after a courageous battle fighting cancer.
He was born in Gross-Umstadt, Germany to the late Stanislaw and Sidonia Slomski. Al was a proud Marine Corp veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He then served in the Air National Guard and Reserves. Al was also a member of the Ironbutt Motorcycle Club, and was very active with Life Church in Hendersonville, TN. Al loved to travel, cook, garden, and enjoyed woodworking in his garage.
Al was preceded in death by his infant son, Eric, and his first wife, Sandra.
He is survived by his 4 children, Tanja, Jason, Gretchen (Rodolfo), Erika; 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Olivia, Allie, Sofia, Austin; mother-in-law, Bonnie; 3 brothers, Victor, Danny (Carol), Errol (Michelle), and many friends.
Visitation 9:30am until 10:30am Monday, August 8, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45424 where funeral service will follow at 10:30am. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America in Al's memory.
