PRICE, Albert M. age 90, born July 30, 1921, passed away August 6, 2011 at home.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Technician Sergeant and Rifle Marksman in the Battle of the Bulge receiving two Bronze starts. He retired from the Carpenter's Local #104 and was a member of VFW. Albert was an avid fisherman and could catch more fish then anyone. He loved gardening and had entered vegetables in the Ohio State, Montgomery, and Greene county fairs since 1990 winning ribbons every year. He grew extra vegetables for family, neighbors, and friends.
He and Ida celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on August 4th. He was a wonderful dad, husband, and our hero.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth.
He is survived by his wife, Ida; daughters, Mary Price (Dominic) and Luann (Tom) Scott; step -grandchildren, Stephanie and Adrianne; step-great grandchild, Abigail; sisters-in-law, Vivan and Sue Cemino; nephews, Mike (Theresa) Cemino and Mark (Diane) Cemino; great-nephew, Michael Cemino; and cousins, Marilyn (Ralph) Waln and Julius (Linda) Strick of Van Wert, OH, Joyce Strick, and Marilyn Strick of Fremont, Oh; dear friend, Ken McHenry "Mac"; and grand-dogs, Tess, Iya, and Zippy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 11, 2011 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5000 Burkhardt Rd. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 4:30 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., and again Thursday morning from 9:00 am until the time of service at church. Donations may be made to St. Helen Church for mass in Albert's memory.
