Albert Hunt

Albert "Al" Hunt, age 95, of Kettering, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2021. He was born in Kettering Ohio on January 7, 1926.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert & Margaret Hunt along with his brother Robert Hunt ; his beloved wife Kathryn (Kay) Hunt; his loving children, Bonnie Harding and Thomas Hunt ; and his granddaughter Kathryn Brooke Forbes (Kathi) along with his step-son, Kevin Haworth.

Al is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Hunt; daughters, Barbara Jacobs and Rebecca Johnston (Ric); Daughter in law Dorothy Hunt and Son in Law Greenwood Harding, his grandchildren, Bryan (Rosa) Forbes, 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; step-daughter, Kathy Thomas (Gary); sister -in-law, Mary (Cliff) Stamper; his fur baby, Misty; and many other loving family and friends.

Al served his country proudly in the United States Navy during World War II where he was awarded the purple heart. He retired from General Motors (Harrison Radiator) after 48 ½ years of service. He was also a member of East Dayton Christian Church for many years. The faith he had in God was very dear to Al and he dedicated his life to serving the Lord. In his free time, he loved to play games with friends, especially Euchre, where he would "Lead like Al". Al had a very generous heart and was always there for anyone in need. He would give the shirt off of his back for those he loved.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm, on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday February 24, 2021 with full military honors with Pastor Kyle Gulley officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
