Obituary of Albert Henry Henderson
1937- 2011
Henderson, Albert Henry., age 73, of Fairborn, Ohio, born in Huntsville, Alabama, and a former resident of Dayton, Ohio for over 65 years departed this life on Sunday June 5, 2011 at Wright Nursing Home where he had resided for over six years.
He was a veteran of who served his country in Korea as an airman of the United States Air Force from 1955- 1961 and former employee of Wilberforce University. He attended First Baptist Church of Ridgewood Heights under the pastorate of the late Pastor A.Z. Crawford.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Mamie Stallworth, father, Mr. Wiley (Roosevelt) Henderson, step-grandfather, Mr. Johnny Liman Bostock, maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ella Dee Bostock, great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert & Sarah Collier, devoted aunt on his mother's side, Mrs. Lella Mae Bostock (Uncle Mr. Hayward Bostock), step uncles, Milton and Luther Bostock. He leaves to cherish his memory five children; sons, Norman Jackson and Lamar Jackson of Dayton, OH, daughters, Cheryl Williams of Dayton, OH, Bridgette Owens of Cincinnati, OH, and Teresa (Henderson) Richardson-Spencer, Sierra Vista, AZ., 15 grand children and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
In honor of the wishes of the decedent a private memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 10am at the Dayton Veteran's Administration National Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff and residents of Wright Nursing Home.
