Albert Edward "Bert" Brendel, III, 68 of Kettering, passed away on May 31, 2019 at home. He was born on November 6, 1950 to Albert and Betty (Watson) Brendel in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, while his parents were serving as missionaries. Bert was self-employed doing home remodeling projects. He enjoyed finding creative solutions for home remodeling challenges, sports, cooking recipes from America's Test Kitchen, and participating in Bible studies. He was a member of Miamisburg Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Bert is survived by his mother, Betty Brendel; sisters, Beverly (Daniel) Cobb and Beth Brendel; niece, Janelle (Esteban Lopez) Cobb; nephews, Jeremy (Dawn) and Jonathon (Katelyn) Cobb; and multiple cousins. The family expresses appreciation to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton for their care and support. Bert was preceded in death by his father, Albert Edward Brendel, Jr.
Services will be held on June 14, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the Miamisburg Seventh-day Adventist Church (2155 Leiter Rd., Miamisburg, OH 45342), officiated by Pastor Lori Farr. Opportunity will be available after the service for family visitation.
