Albert Bending

BENDING, Albert L. age 78, of Riverside, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009. He was born in Portsmouth, OH on May 5, 1930; the son of the late Robert and Della (Copas) Bending. Albert proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1947 until 1969. Commander of both the American Legion post 763 and Greene County. National Director for nurses training for the 40 et 8. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Eva; daughters, Katrina and Joe Hamilton, Karla Boehm; son, Michael and Mary Jo Bending; grandchildren, Katie, Nicole, Emmy, Joe, Michael, Megan, Nikolaus, and Luke; sisters, Janet Mains, Patty Rose, Peggy Prose, Martha Kirby, Opal Collier, and Alice Liston (deceased); brother, Richard Bending; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be 4-7:30 PM followed by services with military honors at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Burial will be 2 PM Friday, January 9, 2009 at Dayton National Cemetery with full military honors.
