July 6, 1999 — January 18, 2019
Alani Maria Young, age 19, of Xenia, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Dayton Children's' Medical Center, following a courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
Alani had an infectious personality and left a mark on the heart of everyone she met. She loved her family and her friends. She inspired many to be followers of Christ. Her twin sister Aleeya aka "Pooty" was one of her best friends. Alani was an avid Youtuber and dancer. She enjoyed her time doing competitive dance and cheer. She also enjoyed singing in the Outreach Choir and performing with BAC at UC. She was a student at the University of Cincinnati.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother Evangelist Sharon (Porter)Scott and cousin Marco Porter, Great- Grandparents; Margaret (Alvin II) Porter, Grant Scott, Charles (Ruth) Denhart and Ramon (Rita) Young
Alani is survived by her Mom, Heather Scott ; Dad, Nathan Young; sisters Adriana Young , Aleeya Young and Natalie Young; brothers Aidan Bartelt and Vincent Young ; grandparents, Ken(Kathy) Young and Richard Scott; aunts Rachaunda Scott , Richaun Scott, Janelle (David) Ord; uncles, Michael (Megan Winston) Scott and Matthew (Kartika) Young ; cousins Tierra Lane, Dashawn Scott, Adriana Winston, Anna, Ethan and Sarah Ord , Kira and Mia Young; a host of friends and family.
Family will receive friends Friday, January 25, 2019 from 11:00 am to 12 pm at Bethel Temple Church, 914 E. Third St. Xenia, Ohio 45385. The funeral service will begin at 12 noon.
Interment will be on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm Cherry Grove Cemetery.
