Alan Joseph Gusky, "Al," age 59 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 after braving and fighting numerous health conditions for nearly 20 years. He was born February 14, 1964 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Albert J. Gusky Jr. and Barbara (Mihalic) Gusky.
Al graduated from Cathedral Preparatory School in 1982. He went on to further his education at The University of Dayton, where he graduated in 1986 with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was formerly employed as a Certified Public Accountant with General Pension Planning Corporation, and was most recently employed with Coolidge Wall Law Firm. Al earned the title of "Man of the Year" with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Even more importantly, he indefinitely earned the titles of "Best Husband" and "Best Dad." When he wasn't working, he was very dedicated to his family and serving others. Al proudly represented the Centerville Lady Elks soccer team by volunteering in many capacities. He was also very involved with Incarnation Catholic Parish, where he wore many hats.
Al is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sheryl Snyder Gusky; daughters, Jessica N. Gusky and Megan M. Gusky; sisters, Carla A. Kielar and Lynn M. Gwinn and husband, James; as well as countless other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 11:00 am at Incarnation Catholic Parish (7415 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, OH 45459). Burial will follow at David's Cemetery (4600 Mad River Road, Kettering, OH 45429).
