Al "Butch" Henry, age 79 of Fairborn, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He was born February 23, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Bessie Henry.
Al coached baseball and football in Fairborn for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Core. He retired from Continental Cable Vision after 20 plus years. Al was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds Baseball and enjoyed watching old time westerns. He will be remembered for his love of a good joke and his infectious laugh.
He is preceded in death by his mother; brother, Ed Henry; sister, Betty Eubanks and daughter, Sheryl Vallone.
Al is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Syble; children, Janie (Marlin) Larson, Christopher (Janet) Henry & Tony (Jodi) Henry; grandchildren, April Stone, Rollin Stone, Stephanie Swain, Samantha Vallone, Shelly Vallone, Jessica (Caleb) Williams, Matt Henry, Alexandria Henry, Kristen Henry & Justin Henry; great grandchildren, Henry Williams, Jayden Stone, Willie Wortham, Madison Wortham & Janelle Wortham; great great grandchildren, Brielle & Elisa and niece and nephews, DeeDee, Doug & Joe Shear, Jeff Eubanks, Eric Henry & Joey Meyers.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Miami Valley Young Marines in Al's honor.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 13, 2021 at Amvets Post 464 (5420 Brandt Pike, Dayton, OH 45424) from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
