Agnes Marie Molden, age 85, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away, surrounded by family, on February 17, 2023. She was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on February 19, 1937 to the late Datus and Arneice McDowell.
Agnes loved God, her family, and her church family. She also loved cooking, crocheting hats and scarves for family and friends and hanging out and talking to her girlfriends.
As a young girl, Agnes recalls shopping downtown, going to the fair, singing with her family and having a faithful dog called Boss.
Agnes graduated from Armstrong Highschool and attended Sinclair Community College. After graduating from high school, Agnes worked at the Diana Shop in Fayetteville. She also held jobs at Sears and Victoria's Secret before retiring.
Agnes was a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved to teach her grandchildren about Jesus and teach them Christian songs. She was a member of Spinning Road Baptist Church and later Community United Methodist Church. She had a great sense of humor and will be remembered by many!
Agnes is survived by her sister; Ernestine Crumpler, three children; Tony Molden (Michelle), Tonya Molden and Pamela Collins (Charles), seven grandchildren; Candice Molden (Derrick), Anthony Molden (Kristie), Alexis Molden (Cameron), Charles Collins, Christian Collins, Zachary Hook (Andrea), Brandy Dray (Preston) and six great grandchildren; Jadyn Bohache, Mikyla Russell, Carmine Russell, Jayce Russell, Cade Russell and Ariya Russell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings; Ganara McNeill, Troy McDowell, Roland McDowell, Catherleen Springer, Irene Springer and Mary Dawson
The family will receive visitors Friday, March 3 at 12:00 pm with a memorial service at 1:00 pm at Newcomer at 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432.
