Agnes Milner Hale Jensen, born May 26, 1919 in Ft. Dodge, IA, Passed away January 21, 2018 in Kettering, OH.
She was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa to William E. Hale and Nora Milner Hale and had one sister, Edna Hemphill, who preceded her in death by several months. She lived through her early years, in Ft. Dodge. She was married to Melvin C. Jensen in 1942. He preceded her in death. They had four sons; two step-sons, Roger (Nancy), Richard (Francine), who she raised as her own; two of her own, William and Samuel. She also has 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
She moved many times throughout her lifetime; living in Ft, Dodge, Iowa; Chicago, IL; Escanaba, MI; Danville, IL; Kenosha, WI; Novato, CA; Placerville, CA; Wittier, CA; Oceanside, CA; Riverside, CA; Escondido, CA; and Kettering, OH.
She enjoyed many activities including, piano/organ for church, sewing/knitting/crocheting, art/stained glasswork. She travelled extensively throughout her lifetime but was not fond of camping. Initially, she was trained to be a missionary but her only mission field was her family. Later, as children were grown, she trained to be a dental assistant and enjoyed working in that field in Novato, CA.
She attended the Washington Heights Baptist Church in Dayton.
Her final years were spent in the Oak Creek Nursing and Rehab Center in Kettering, where she was given outstanding and loving care.
There will be a time of visitation, Friday Jan. 26 from 3PM to 4PM followed immediately by a brief memorial service at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd in Kettering, OH officiated by Pastor James Koerber.
