Ada Rinda Vance, 96, went home to be with the Lord, on December 12, 2024. Loving mother of Anthony (Brenda) Vance, Donna Baker and Terry (Debbie) Vance, cherished grandmother of Jackie (Aaron) Eshbaugh, Bryan (Angie) Vance, Valerie (Brian Amburgy) Rowley, Derrick (Danielle) Heading, Jennifer (Justin Rockwell) Finkle, Justin (Laurie) Vance and Jessica (Jon) Fugate and beloved sister of Amanda Prater. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ada was preceded in death by her husband Delmar, parents Oscar and Florence Gullett, son in law Daniel Baker and 8 of her siblings.
She was a hardworking woman who loved gardening and cooking for her family and friends. She enjoyed quilting, boating and fishing. Her favorite time was spent with her family.
Ada's Christmas tradition was making candy and those recipes have been shared within the family to keep the tradition and her Christmas Spirit alive. She put a lot of love into each batch and her family has been honored to share that love with future generations.
Every Sunday you could find her celebrating God at Airway Baptist Church and before that she was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Orab. Ada was a faithful servant of God.
Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Thursday December 19, 2024 at 10:00 am with funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Mt. Orab Cemetery in Brown County. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Ada's memory to Airway Baptist Church.
