Ada Sheedy, age 87, went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2016.
Ada was born in Brooklyn N.Y. She met the love of her life, John "Jack" E. Sheedy, upon his return from World War II. They were married for over 66 years and had four children.
Ada will be missed dearly. She adored and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. After her working career at various corporations in New York, Ada & Jack moved to Beavercreek, Ohio. While in Beavercreek, Ada spent many hours volunteering at St. Luke Church. She possessed numerous creative talents and was an accomplished knitter, embroider, crocheter, seamstress, photographer, and painter. She loved making gifts for her family and donated many of her hand made treasures to charitable organizations. Precious memories of Ada, along with her strong faith and love of family, will forever be remembered and cherished.
Ada is preceded in death by her husband, Jack. She is survived by her children, Irene, Kathleen, James (Phyllis), and John (Maria); nine grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; and numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2017, from 10:45 am to 11:45 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 11:45 am. Burial will be in the Dayton National Cemetery.
