SANDERS, Ada Lee "Honey Lump"
age 80 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2006. Ada was born in Prairie Point, Miss. and had lived in Dayton 49 years. She was an Eastern Star (Miss.) and a member of Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband Sam Sanders; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arlegus Bush Sr.; 2 brothers, Arlegus Bush Jr. and W. L. Bush; 2 sisters, Margaret Tate and Josephine Payne. Survivors are 5 daughters, Essie Webster (Pete), Dora Simon (Joe), Lucille Clay (David), Florence Sanders (Skip) and April J. Mann (Rod); 2 sons, Earnest (Nikita) and Jimmy Sanders (Jean) of Dayton; 2 step-children, Willie Sanders and Mattie Williams (Ernest); 4 sisters, Flora Young (Miss), Mildred Cash (Cornelius), Lillie White (David), Willie Mae Singleton (Lindsey) of Chicago; 1 brother, Early Bush; a special niece, Gennie Kincannon (Abe) of Detroit; a special daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Sanders; 11 grandchildren, Shawn, Treece, Leon, Spank, Jacquetta, Nikki, Dougy, Johnny, Cherie, Ashley and Josh; 11 step-grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a special cousin; George Wright Sr.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 6:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1404 South Gettysburg Avenue. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 2262 North Gettysburg Avenue. Interment will follow in Greencastle Cemetery. Rev. Lavon Mann will officiate.
