Acie M. Spurling
Acie Spurling, age 72, of Englewood, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010. He was born April 22, 1937 in Deer Lodge, TN to the late Alfred and Alta Spurling. Acie was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Spurling. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Georgia "Ruth" Spurling; son, Michael Spurling; daughter, Kathy Dyson; 4 granddaughters, Angel, Lillian, MaryBeth and Leslie; sister, Barbara (Willard) Cothran; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 2-4 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). Services will be held Monday, April 12, 2010 at 1:30 PM at the funeral home, with Pastor Arthur Jennings and Pastor Jessie Tipton officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park.
