Aaron Edward Flohre, 45, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2024. Loving husband of Jennifer Flohre, cherished son of Ed and Vicki Flohre, adored uncle of Henry Long and the best puppy Dad to Vespa and Archer Flohre. He is also survived by his chosen family Heidi and Kyle Gulley; their children Dakota (Esther) Gulley, Sophia Gulley, and Ian Gulley as well as the rest of their beloved church family at East Dayton Christian Church and his work family at Dorothy Lane Market and other extended family members and friends.
Aaron was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gertrude and Norbert Flohre; maternal grandparents Edward and Opal Strunk; uncles Joseph Flohre, Jack Flohre, Robert Flohre, Bill Flohre and his aunt Babe Flohre.
Aaron enjoyed cooking, especially for Vacation Bible School and various other church functions. He was an gamer and was blessed to have a set of friends that he enjoyed gaming with. He loved music, particularly playing his guitar and listening to the blues. He was a graphic designer and artist at heart.
Above all his family was the most important thing to Aaron. This includes his blood family and the family that he chose. Spending time with his wife, parents and dogs were some of his favorite times. He also adored his church family, making the children who attended a priority as well as his kitchen crew. He will be so very missed by all of those that he touched.
Public visitation will be held at East Dayton Christian Church (3415 Linden Ave, Dayton, OH 45410) Wednesday March 6, 2024 at 4:30 pm with memorial service to follow at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers (because Jenny will kill them anyway) please consider a donation in Aaron's memory to East Dayton Christian Church for a kitchen remodel. (He loved working in that kitchen).
