Samuel Franklin Knight

Samuel Franklin Knight, age 30 of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016. He was born December 31, 1985 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Melvin Knight and Beverley Knight-Stukenborg.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sylvia DeVilbiss; paternal grandfather, William Knight.

Sam is survived by his children, Brooklynn and Jason Knight; fiance, Elizabeth Guernsey; mother, Beverley (Steve) Knight Stukenborg; father, Melvin Knight; sisters, Carly Knight, Angel Knight, Melinda (Larry) Bowles; grandfather, Allen (Earlene) DeVilbiss; grandmother, Carol Knight-Ballard; step-sister, Hope (Gary) Peace; step-brother, Christopher (Amber) Stukenborg; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Sam proudly served his country in the United States Army and enjoyed camping and fishing in his spare time. He loved his children immensely and he will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Sam's Life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11 am at Newcomer Funeral Home- South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439. Visitation will be from 9 am until the time of service. Private family burial will take place at Dayton National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
