Rose Theresa Dowdell, age 83, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2018. Rose was born in Flint, MI to the late Niam and Sally Awad. Rose enjoyed making and collecting pottery and reading in her free time. In her earlier years she was an avid tennis player. She was a caring, loving, and compassionate mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered for her generous and giving heart. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her son, Zachary Watkins, Sr.; and 6 siblings.
Rose leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Sandra (Darek) Turner; special daughter, Yvonne Lewis; grandchildren, Sharmaine (Byron) Hatch, Felicia (Max) Scott, II, and Zachary Watkins, Jr.; special grandson, Gregory Lewis; great-grandchildren, Serenity Anderson, William Anderson, Zechariah Watkins, Zaniah Watkins, Jaeden Watkins, Zy'anne Watkins, Jailah Scott, Max Scott, III, Byron Hatch, Jr., and Grant Hatch; niece, Lorri; nephews, Herb, Tyronne, and Derek; nieces and nephews in Michigan; special friends, Elise and Gregory; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton for all their care, compassion, and support during this difficult time.
