Mary Maxine Clay was reunited with her husband, Clarence Clay, on November 3, 2017. She peacefully entered heaven's portals having been loved by many loving friends and family during her almost 96 years on earth. Mary was a charter member of East 4th Street Church of God (now Evangel Church of God) where she taught Sunday school for 50 years. She was a spiritual blessing to many - including those who cared for her in nursing home settings. She is survived by daughter, Carol Clay; son, Harold (Suzette) Clay; very special to her are two granddaughters, Christina (Mark) Griffith, Casey (Adam) Bruggeman; and four great grandchildren, Trenton and Jordin Griffith, Berkley and Blake Bruggeman. Also celebrating her life are nieces, nephews and a special sister-in-law, Mable Potter. A visitation will be held from 1-2pm on November 9, 2017 at Newcomer - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd., where services will begin at 2pm. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
