Jean Minneman, age 94, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Brookdale of Kettering.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Carl Minneman; parents, Leigh & Sarah Ferris; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and 1 granddaughter.
She is survived by her four children, Marilyn Kellar, Carol (Bob) Ewald, Dave Minneman & Dan (Ginger) Minneman; 11 grandchildren, Jeff, Lisa, Brian, Kacy, Jennifer, Joe, Kate, Lauren, Scott, Sarah, and Jonathan; 20 great-grandchildren, Emily, Brittany, Ashleigh, Stanley, Joel, Megan, Lucas, Juliana, Jill, Nicholas, Aliza, Adysen, Lauren, Kara, Adelyn, Kamryn, Clara, Alana, Noah, and Sophia; 1 great-great-grandson, Conner; brother, Thomas (Mary Lou) Ferris; a host of nieces & nephews; and by her extended family & good friends.
She attended Lutheran Church of Our Savior. Jean was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, Chapter Xi Alpha Mu Service Sorority.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the caring staff of Brookdale of Kettering.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 10am-12pm at Newcomer South Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. The service will follow at 12pm. Jean will be laid to rest next to her husband, Carl, at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, OH.
