Hugh Cassidy
September 22, 1937 — February 6, 2021
Hugh Cassidy, age 83 of Huber Heights, OH went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2021. He was born September 22, 1937 in Motherwell, Scotland to James and Jane (Conway) Cassidy. Hugh married Beate Fritz on May 6, 1968 in Santa Barbara, California.
Hugh is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Todd) White; two sons, Tyrone (Pamela) Parks and Christopher Cassidy; a granddaughter, Catherine Cassidy; three sisters, Patsy, Janey and Margaret; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beate; his parents; and three brothers.
Hugh proudly served his country in the United States Marines (1959-1964) and the U.S. Air Force (1968-1985), retiring in 1985. He then went to work at the Dayton V.A. following his military service. Hugh then cared for his wife Beate for the next 16 years.
Dad, you never wavered and you never failed us. Your love permeated thru the family and held it together thru the dark times we faced. You helped shape us thru the hard learned lessons you endured through your life. You created an oasis that made balance. You helped us all more than you may have ever known. Till we meet again.

We thank you and the United States Military. Without both of you we would have not been able to get as far as we have.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Rosary, 40 Notre Dame Avenue, Dayton, OH. Hugh will be laid to rest with full military honors at Dayton National Cemetery beside his wife Beate following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Dayton Shriner's Hospital.
"The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks will be worn in all public places."
