Florence Piergies, age 90 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Friendship Village. She was born June 20, 1927 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Frank and Eleanor Pruczynicki.
Florence was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. She was a devout Catholic doing charity work for Nativity BVM in Lorain, Ohio. She was a lucky gambler and loved to play cards. Most of her enjoyment was spending time and holidays with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Chester Piergies; brother, Frank Jr. and sister, Lillian Eglinski.
Florence will be missed by her loving children, James (Barbara) Piergies, Thomas (Saul Raigosa) Piergies, Edward (Terri) Piergies; daughter, Charlotte (David) Piergies-Kremer; grandchildren, Robert and Mary Piergies, Daniel, Brian and Jonathan Kremer and Brett and Brittany Reasoner; 3 great-grandchildren, Cody and Jack Kremer, and Brianna Reasoner and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 4961 Salem Ave., Dayton, Ohio, Fr. James Seibert C.PP.S., Celebrant. Burial will be held at 2p.m. at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third St., Dayton, Ohio 45428. Arrangements by Newcomer North Chapel.
