Bryant, Christine (nee Purcell) went home to be with her Lord on July 23rd, 2011. Born in August 1928 in Columbus Ohio, she had spent her growing up years near Somerset Ky. on Sinking Valley Farm. She came to Dayton Ohio in 1947 as a new bride and spent the remainder of her life in Ohio, most recently under the wonderful caregivers of the Alzheimer's Special Care unit of Trinity Community.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Roscoe Bryant, her parents, Harris and Hulda Purcell and only brother, James Howard Purcell, and many others.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Sue (husband Bruce) Weller, son, Roger (wife Gwen) Bryant. Five Grandchildren, Dawn, (husband Max) Michael, (wife Rebecca), Benjamin, Adam and Elizabeth, and one great grandson, Henry.
She was a charter member of East Dayton Baptist Church since 1954, and remained faithful to her Lord and church all her life, serving in various ministries of the church.
Visitation to be held on Tuesday, July 26th, 2011 starting at 9:00 a.m. with funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Pastor Brian Kershaw officiating. Burial to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.
In lieu of flowers contributions could be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Trinity Community of Beavercreek.
