Layne, Cheryl S. (Weikert), 65, of Dayton, passed away June 6, 2017.
She was born February 7, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio to Charles Weikert and Wilma (VanHorn) Shaw. Cheryl loved being a Hairdresser and Beautician. Her passion was doing hair at many area nursing homes. Cheryl touched many lives, she had a heart of gold, was a very generous person and would do anything for anyone. She loved being around people. Cheryl loved spending time with her family. She loved going to church and was a member of Bethany Church of Christ for many years.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Cheyanne Hohn, her grandmother, Irene Miller, her aunt, Sharon Heatherly, and her cousin, Steve McDonald.
Cheryl is survived by her beloved family, her sons, William "Billy" Hohn, Jason Hohn, her daughters, Tiffany Thompson, Sonia Metcalfe; her mother, Wilma V. Shaw; her sisters, Christy Hall and husband, Frank, Cindy Utterback and husband, Jerry; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Cheryl was deeply loved and will be missed beyond words.
