Cheryl Ann Long

October 26, 1955 — June 25, 2023

Cheryl Ann Long, age 67, of Dayton passed away on June 25, 2023. She was born in Dayton on October 26, 1955 to the late William Robinette and Elaine Barnett. In addition to her parents, Cheryl is preceded in death by her brother, Tony Robinette.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Gary; son Nicholas (Annette) Long; grandson Gabriel Dallas Long; siblings, Carla (Ed) Bunch, Melinda "Wendy" Fowler, Chris (Melissa) Robinette; along with many other family and friends.

Cheryl loved caring for people and retired after 33 years of nursing. She worked at Miami Valley Hospital as an oncologist nurse and gave herself to her patients unconditionally. She enjoyed spending time with her grandson Gabriel, playing tennis and traveling all over the world with her friends and family. Cheryl had a very artistic side and a great eye for decorating and making things pretty and holy. She was dearly loved by her family and faithful friends and will be forever missed.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Surber to officiate.
