Marla Ramona (McLemore) Ellis (Mom) entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, May 4, 2023. She was 64 years old.
Marla was born on August 21, 1958 to June and Raymond Mclemore in Dayton, Ohio. After studying at Dayton Job Corps she went on to be a property manager for 20 years. Later in life she went back to school to receive her GED. Marla was the loving mother of first Jacqueline Mclemore and then Marlin Ellis. She excelled at being a supportive and caring mother and family member. She showed the love of Jesus Christ to her children and family and was supportive through the tough times.
Marla was one of the Lord's Saints and did his work everywhere she went. She was always heavily involved in the church. Marla faithfully and lovingly cared for her mom: June until she couldn't anymore. She was an avid sports fan, loved to crochet, and loved the family dog Lady.
Marla enters the presence of the Lord with her dear mother: June McLemore. She is survived by her father, Raymond McLemore. Loving daughter: Jacqueline Mclemore and son: Marlin Ellis. Grandchildren that she adored: Dajasia, Kyla, Christina, and April. Her sisters: Monique Seabrook and twin sister: Michele Sumerlin. Brother: Raymond Mclemore. Marla will truly be missed by her cousins, nieces and nephews. Marla also leaves a host of other relatives and friends, including her good friend Barbara Patterson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at First Light Church, 140 Elva Ct., Vandalia, Ohio 45377. The service will follow at 12pm.
Marla will be laid to rest at West Memory Gardens, Moraine, Ohio.
