William Eugene Bender

William (Bill) Eugene Bender, age 61, passed away at his home on April 22, 2023, with family by his side. He had been battling cancer for the past 3 years.

Bill was born January 16, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio. He loved playing sports in High School, he even competed in the State Championship in his early high school years. He enlisted in the Army at age 18 earning a rank of Private 1st Class before leaving to enjoy life with his wonderful and loving wife, Melinda Bender of whom he was married to for 41 years. He was blessed with four children: Billy, Wayne, Eddie, and Amber. Bill spent most of his work career working for various Lumber and Drywall companies. He enjoyed his last 20 years of working for United Building Materials operating a fork lift and helping customers. When he wasn't working he loved spending time with family, walks in the park, fishing and camping with his wife and enjoying all of God's creation!

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Lois A Coke (Clark) & Lawrence J Bender, and Grandmother Jean Clark

He is survived by his wife, Melinda; children: Billy and his wife Sara, Wayne, Eddie and his wife Joy, and daughter Amber; 11 grandchildren: William, Styler, Sawyer, Dougie, Ana, Jaz, Junior, Xavier, Davin, Levi , JoJo; four Great Grand Children Arie, Gabbie, Royal, Legend; His Brother Lawrence and his wife Noel; Sister Dawn and her husband Morris; Step Dad and Mother Ronnie and Linda Rogers; and Step Sister Holly and her husband Josh.

Bill will be remembered and missed as a kind, loving, hard working Husband, Father, GrandPa, Great Grandpa, and Friend that you could always count on.
