Michael D. Garrett

Michael D. Garrett, "Mike", age 69, of Miamisburg, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 3, 2023.

He was born December 10, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Alma Garrett, Jr. and Rita Eileen (Dubbs) Garrett.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his infant sister Diana.

Mike is survived by his wife of 49 years, June (Brown) Garrett; his children Jene' (Dwight) Hatton, Michael (Jayma) Garrett, Jr., David (Jackie) Garrett, Torvekia Jones, and Lori Davis Fink; his grandchildren, Ashley Hatton, Kaydence, Andrew, Boston, Kylie, Paxton, and Rylan Garrett. He is also survived by his siblings Donna (Bob) Kuntz, Clara Chapman, Janet (Gearl) Watkins, Dale Garrett, Auda Childs and Vanessa (Brad) Phillips along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and his Greenview Calvary Tabernacle Church family.

Mike ran his home repair and remodeling business for 55 years. His business was less about repairing homes and more about repairing people. Mike was a longtime member of Greenview Calvary Tabernacle Church, and headed up the Bus Ministry. For over 50 years, Mike and June transformed many young lives by exposing them to God and religion by reaching out to families in need with transportation limitations and providing them with love, guidance and transportation to church.

Mike's life was about helping others and raised his children to do the same. He loved his family, and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and working in the garden with them. Mike was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
