Daniel Brown

Mr. Daniel Brown was born May 30, 1927 in Gibsland, Louisiana to the late Jimmy and Rachel Brown. He was the fifth of ten children. Daniel was preceded in death by his late wife, Peggy Gibson-Brown; four brothers: Wilbert Brown, Horace Brown, Joe Brown, Jimmy (J.B.) Brown, and sister, Erie Todd. Daniel was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. He went to his eternal rest on Friday, October 7, 2022.

Mr. Brown leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Serita and husband Mark Simien; three grandchildren: Jessica and husband Andrew Dinham, LaMarcus and wife Rameen Simien, and Sierra Simien; two great-grandchildren, Asher and Jackson Dinham, all of Stafford, Texas; one brother, Louis and wife Betty Brown of Detroit, Michigan; three sisters: Lillie (Pat) Brown of Detroit, Michigan, Verline Thomas of Los Angeles, California, Minnie and husband Willie Clark of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and a plethora of nieces, nephews and friends. He touched many lives and will be missed by those who were blessed to have known him.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at 10:00am on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio. A memorial service will begin at 10:30am. Daniel will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
