Linda Hibbs, 75, of Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, October 11th, 2022. She was born August 15th, 1947 in Wheeling to the late John Francis and Irene Cecelia (Dunn) Barr.
Linda was known to many as a loving wife, mother, and friend. She brought her love of cooking to Wheeling Hospital where she was employed as a dietary aide, famous for her chicken salad. Linda was a loyal employee and retired in 2018. She always had a smile and encouraging word for everyone she met. Linda had a true caregiver's heart, always stepping up to take care of her family members when needed. She was very devoted to her family and friends, and will be dearly missed.
She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory, including her husband of 51 years, Clyde Hibbs; children, Ronald (Marilyn) Hibbs and Dotti (Gary) Lecker; sister, Madelyne Campbell; a half-sister, Mildred; and numerous extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Erwin Barr, Clinton Barr, Johnita Walker, Kay Mohas, Marjorie McCroskey, William Barr, Rebecca Barr, and John Barr; and her life-long friend, Joyce Wallace.
A Graveside Service with a following Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Her final resting place will be at Greenwood Cemetery, in Wheeling, West Virginia.
