Sally Ann Camplin

February 1, 1939 — August 5, 2022

Camplin, Sally A. of Kettering, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 5, 2022. She was born February 1, 1939 in Dayton, OH. Sally grew up attending Christ Lutheran Church and was a graduate of Kiser High School class of 1957. Sally was a cosmetologist for a short period of time before beginning her career at Ohio Bell where she eventually retired in 1990 after more than 32 years of service. In her years at the phone company, she worked in many areas, including Operator Services. She was an officer in the CWA 4322 Retirees group, as well as an officer in the CWA 4311. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Sally was a talented artist, and won several awards for her beautiful painted ceramic pieces.

Sally enjoyed gardening, and especially loved sunflowers. She could often be found attending a craft show, on a shopping trip or an outing with friends and family. She loved to cook for her family, and made the best cabbage rolls and peanut butter fudge around! Sally was a sports enthusiast and loved to cheer on THE Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds. Sally had a soft spot for animals, and loved her granddogs and bird watching. She enjoyed traveling, attending dances, and making memories with her beloved husband Bob, before his passing in 2010. Sally was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She was one of the sweetest and kindest women in the world, and loved to care for her family and friends.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. Camplin; parents, Woody & Pat Neubauer; beloved Aunt Rosy Straczensky; brother, Albert Neubauer; daughter, Rhonda Camplin; and son-in-law, James Kremer. Sally is survived by her children: Brenda Kremer, Robine (Bill) Baker, Judy Topolsky (Debra), Bobby Camplin Jr.; 8 grandchildren (including close granddaughters: Amberly Winegar and Candace Bartunek); several great-grandchildren; sister, Susan Schaaf; nephew, Ricky Schaaf; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; 2 granddogs: Max & Rafael; and 4 granddogs waiting at the Rainbow Bridge: Bud, Garth, Cooper and Miguel.

We would like to thank the Laurels of Kettering, Hospice of Dayton, and Dr. Louis Heckman for the wonderful and compassionate care that they have given to Sally, our sister, mother and grandmother. We were so very blessed to be with and comfort her this past week. Until we meet again, we will love you forever and miss you for always.
