Carolyn L. Bowling, lovingly known as "Pat", passed away on April 18, 2022. She was born on December 13, 1931 to the late Virgil and Marie McDaniel.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends as they were her life. She was also an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. She was the matriarch that everyone loved, and she loved everyone.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Clarence Bowling; her son, Rickie; and her brothers and sisters: Russell, Paul, Mary Belle, Rose, Virginia, Maude, Henry, Robert, Anna Jean, Jack and Mary Eloise.
Her memory will be cherished by her daughters, Virginia (Keith) Bailey and Brenda (Steve Barnhouse) Bowling; special brother, Virgil McDaniel; grandchildren: Bryan (Amie) Bailey, Rebecca (Tad) Zink, Jessica (Adolfo) Hoskins, Mandi (Amon) Smith, and Carolyn Hoskins; great-grandchildren: Kara (Robert) Hale, Rian Hoskins, Regayn (Ethan) Miller, Mateo Hoskins, Amon Smith, Hunter Lakes, Alec (Makenzie) Lakes, Conner Bailey, Laila Smith, Katelyn Bailey, Tanner, Maxwell, Evan, Bentley, and Emily Zink; great-great-grandchildren: Logan & Lucas Hale, and Sofia Hoskins; and so many special nieces, nephews, and friends. She loved every one of them in her special way.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you for the wonderful care that the staff at Stonespring of Vandalia provided for Pat.
A visitation will be held from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30pm. Following the service, she will be laid to rest with her husband at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
