Ronald Eugene Frank

Ronald (Ron) Eugene Frank, 82, of Union, Ohio passed from this life Monday afternoon, February 21, 2022.

Ron, the son of Henry and Luella Frank (Rumer), was born August 21, 1939, and shared his time on Earth with his wife and the love of his life, Claudia Lucille Frank (Fogle) for almost 60 years.

Ron graduated Northridge High School in 1957, and worked a variety of jobs, finally retiring from Harris graphics after 28 years as a printing press builder.

Ron was a consummate craftsman who could turn wood into things of beauty, could repair and restore almost any machine, and was an avid motorcyclist and a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, F-Troop for many years. He was an NRA member and was very interested in his Native American heritage. Ron loved animals, and camping, and shared this love of the outdoors with his children and grandchildren. He combined these loves by motorcycle-camping as often as he could.

He was preceded by his parents and his sister, Betty Kincaid (Frank). He is survived by his loving wife, and his children Julie (Ed) Volk, Union, Ohio; Tonya (Bruce) Horton, Vandalia, Ohio; and Brad (Dawn) Frank, Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren Nakesha (Clint) Planck, Miamisburg, Ohio; Kyle (Amanda) Volk, Cincinnati, Ohio; Tesa App (Dave Millar), Miamisburg, Ohio; Eli Horton, Portland, Maine; Kara Horton, Columbus, Ohio; and great-grandchildren Audrey, Simon, and Felix Haschke, Miamisburg, Ohio; Owen and Leo Planck, Miamisburg, Ohio; and Arlo Volk, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am, on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery.
