Jeffrey Bryan Woodroof (Woody), 54, West Carrollton, passed away Thursday January 13th, 2022, in the Kettering Hospital. He was born on July 23, 1967, in Nashville Tennessee to his mom Donna Driggs and the late James Woodroof.
Jeffrey is survived by his Wife Deanna Woodroof and his three children Bryan, Rachel, and Emily Woodroof. Mother Donna Driggs, Stepfather Robert Driggs of Hood River Oregon and Brother Matthew Woodroof. He also has several nieces and nephews who he loved.
Jeffrey felt called into the ministry at a young age and attended Southeastern Bible College in Florida; where he met and married Deanna in 1989 on December 29th. Throughout his life he was a pastor at several different churches loving and caring for the children, youth and adults who attended. After he set down roots in West Carrollton, he received a job at MetLife as an insurance agent. While working at MetLife he was also offered a position as the senior pastor of Plattsburg United Church of Christ (UCC) preaching the word of God.
He accomplished a great deal of things throughout his life. At MetLife he was promoted all the way to trainer and taught his first full class. Bought his first house and raised three children. Jeffrey really enjoyed sports, primarily baseball and his favorite movie was "Field of Dreams". He was also a huge Disney fan, and his favorite character was Mickey Mouse. Jeffrey was a big dreamer and believed anything was possible especially for his kids. Now he is in Heaven in the presence of God, reunited with his dad playing a game of catch.
Jeffreys Celebration of Life service will be held on February 26th at the Dayton Vineyard Student Life Center, 4051 Indian Ripple Rd. Beavercreek, OH, 45440. Guests can enter through the red entrance in the lower parking lot. Visitation will be held at 10:00am and the service will start at 11:00am.
