Cynthia "Cindy" Powell, age 74 of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on December 4, 2021. She was born July 7, 1947 in Goshen, NY daughter of the late Joseph and Jane Strohsahl.
Cindy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, swimming, traveling, and spending time with her family. Cindy is going to be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her son, Adam Sommerhause.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 5 years, Bill Powell; children, Michelle (Billy Davis) Peed, Sean (Amy) Powell, and Heather (Jon) Powell; grandchildren, Kyle (Kirsten), Cole (Mariah), Chelsea (Jordan), Murphy, Mara, and Nolan; brothers, Bob and Lynn Strohsahl; sister, Kathy Morrison; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 9-10am at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A Funeral Service will begin at 10am at the Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
