Carole A. McEvoy (nee Fint) age 80, of Miamisburg, OH went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Kettering Memorial Hospital. She was born in Tyrone, KY in 1941. Her family ventured north and settled in Ohio. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Betty Jane Fint; her brothers, Charles "Bugs", Rodney and Phillip; and her son, Phillip Leigh.
Carole is survived by her daughters, Michele Tanner, Helen (Randy) Allen, Andrea Sabina and Erica (JR) Bolen; grandchildren, Ashley (Lacey) Allen, David (Jamie) Tanner, Alexis (TJ) Thorne, Brittany (Eric) Downs, Austin Allen, Alec Allen, Dalton O'Kief, Andrew Sabina, Sierra Bolen and Troy Aliotta; great-grandchildren, Blake, Carter, Simara, Dakota, Ashlynn and Boone.
Carole was a strong, hard-working woman. Her career began with Frigidaire in Moraine, Ohio. Her strong work ethic was acknowledged and doors opened. She welcomed the challenge and joined General Motors. She pursued and achieved success at her career with General Motors. She was an avid learner and strived for excellence. Carole loved the opportunities that her career presented, which included travel and friendships. She retired from General Motors after 34 years.
She was also strong in her faith. Carole faced many hardships in her life but she pressed into her faith and prayed through them. She covered her family, friends and strangers with prayers daily. Carole was one of the most selfless people you could meet. Her kind heart always thought of others before herself and she would give you her last dollar. Her nature was that of a helper and a giver. She was very devoted to her family, friends and country but most of all the Lord. Carole was an amazing woman. She loved to call and chat, which she did regularly. Her cooking was a comfort; she loved to bake cakes for birthdays, and prepare meals for any visitors on any occasion. The smile she gave was radiant but most of all was her laugh, it was joyous. She loved deeply and will be missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 10-11 am at the Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. The service will follow at 11am. Carole will be laid to rest at David's Cemetery.
