Larry Lester Miles

Larry Lester Miles, age 71 of Dayton, passed from this life into eternal life surrounded by family on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born January 16, 1950 in Birmingham, Alabama.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Miles, sisters, Linda Miles, Toni Thompson.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Katina Anderson; grandchildren, De'Aron Anderson, De'Ven Jackson, Te'rene Young; sister, Sue Edwards (Conrath Edwards) fiancé Deirdra Brown-Rice; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Larry attended Roosevelt High School and Sinclair Community College where he majored in Culinary Studies.

Larry was known for his love for the kitchen, where he spent allot of time cooking for his family and friends. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Larry. His love for his family was unmeasurable. He met the love of his life Deidra, whom he spent 16yrs in support of each other every step of the way. He loved a quiet evening spending time with his Fiancé and watching his favorite football team San Francisco 49ers and basketball San Antonio Spurs. He had an uncanny ability to find happiness in his daily activities. His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met. Larry over came many obstacles in his life, defeating each and everyone. He fought a good fight; he finished his course and he always kept the faith.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio.
