Joseph (Joe-Joe) R. Logan III , age 33-of Dayton, Ohio, was promoted to guardian angel on June 17, 2021 from complications from an injury that he sustained in 2008. He was not expected to live very long after the injury, but he had a habit of proving people wrong in the best way possible.
Joe-Joe was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on November 30, 1987 to Joseph Logan Jr. and Barbara Teribery. He moved with his father to Dayton, Ohio at a young age. He spent his whole life talking to anyone who would listen, asking a LOT of questions, and could tell a story like no other-Sound effects and all. His gift of gab helped him to make many lifelong friends, meet acquaintances and aquire unique job opportunities at a young age.
Joe-Joe was a laborer who worked with his hands up until the injury took away the use of his limbs. He most recently worked in HVAC but also did landscaping, general construction, and could do most household repairs and remodeling with ease. One thing is for certain, he worked hard and took an incredible amount of pride in whatever he accomplished, whether it was a mowing a lawn or putting up drywall and he took pleasure in explaining how he was able to get the job done.
He loved children even though he never had any of his own. He would often keep loose dollars and change in his pockets to give to neighborhood children that he seen throughout the day. If they weren't old enough to accept a dollar, he would hand it to their parent and ask them to put it in the child's piggy bank.
Despite the fact that he never recovered to use of his limbs, he got to enjoy his life to the best of his ability. He even got to go to a Steelers VS. Bengals football game for his 30th birthday with a couple of his favorite people, and it most certainly was one of his favorite life events.
Joe-Joe is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Joseph Logan Sr., Roberta Groters and Claude Groters of Erie, PA. He is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Frank Teribery, and Sandra Teribery of Erie, PA.
