Steven Jay Suiter

Steven Jay Suiter, age 77 of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born on December 8, 1943 in Middletown, Ohio to the late Jay and Marian Suiter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his cousin Michael Schell.

Steve is survived by his partner, Anastasia Christopher and her daughter Lauren Christopher; sister, Marilynn (George) MacLean; niece, Julie (Seth) Hassett and their daughter Ellie; eight cousins, Norm Terry, Dick Terry, Kathy Hutchinson, Ron Craig, Barney Terry, Brian Schell, Earlene Locke, and Eugene Terry; and best friend Don Schmidt. He is also survived by many other family and friends.

He served as an Army Ranger for nine years and he was awarded the Bronze Star, Silver Star and Purple Heart for his bravery. Steve was an avid reader, car enthusiast, and enjoyed being outdoors. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Steve is well loved and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.

Steve's request would have been for you to remember him in your smiles and laughter, rather than grieve his loss. The family hopes those who would like to honor him will find a quiet time to remember who he was in life and be thankful for the time you had together. Out of respect for Steve's wishes, no services will be held at this time.
