Walter R. Rowe Jr.

Walter Ray Rowe Jr., age 88 of New Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Vancrest Health Care Center. He was born August 24, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Walter and Loretta Rowe Sr.

Left to cherish Walt's memory are his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Dorothy (Hill) Rowe: daughter, Loretta Haney; step-children: Marie (Mark) Snyder; Julius (Kindall) King, Jay (Debbie) King, and Nenia Arnett; grandson, Justin (Chelsea Perry) Haney; great-grandson, Jacob Haney; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Gary (Robbie) Rowe; and several other relatives and friends.

Walt loved the outdoors. He enjoyed waterskiing, hunting, fishing, and camping. Most of all, Walt enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Walt was preceded in death by his grandson, Jake Haney; brothers: Dennis Rowe, Ronnie Rowe, and Bobby Rowe; and nieces: Kim Rowe, and Brenda Shade.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH 45432). A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Byron Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Vancrest of New Carlisle for the love and care they provide to Walt during his time there.
