Hobert Murray

Hobert Murray, age 92 of Beavercreek, Ohio went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2021. He was born October 1, 1928 in Paintsville, Kentucky son of the late Arby and Annie Lee Murray.

Hobert was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Hobert became a ordained Minister where he served at several United Baptist Churches for 20 years. He loved hunting, fishing, and working on old cars. He enjoyed working in his flower gardens, helping others, and visiting The Beavercreek Senior Center. Hobert was an animal lover. Hobert loved to eat with his friends at the Golden Corral as well as just spending get togethers with his family.

In addition to his parents, Hobert was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Mae Murray; daughter, Mary Ann Murray; siblings, Arnie (Dixie), Arvin (Idilis), John B.(Vonna Mae), Robert Lee (Gladys), Samuel, James, and Elizabeth (Bud).

Hobert is survived by his children, Ronald (Barbara) Murray, James L. (Martha) Murray, Debbie (Bob) Krotts, and Dennis (Virginia) Murray; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 1 buddle of joy on the way; sister-in-laws, Loretta and Faye Murray; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton -Xenia Road, Beavercreek Ohio).

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 10am at Miami Valley United Baptist Church (660 West Hyde Road, Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387).

Hobert will be laid to rest next to his wife Dorothy at Beaver Union Cemetery (7046 Ohio 335 Beaver, Ohio 45613).

The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks will be worn in all public places.

Memorial contributions can be made in Hobert's honor to the Miami Valley United Baptist Church.
