Carol Berridge, age 75 of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 3, 2021. She was born April 17,1945 in Marion, Ohio daughter of the late John and Catherine Hanley.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents John and Catherine Hanley.
Carol is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dan Berridge; children, Mark (Marnie) Berridge, Chris (Jenni) Berridge, Suzanne (Adam) Gabris, and Tim (Shannon) Berridge; grandchildren, Seth, Samantha, Abby, Nathan, Mallory, Luke, Kevin, Carter, Keegan, and Adelynn; mother in law Jean Berridge; siblings, Kathleen (James) Caruso, Patricia (Dave) Boudouris, John (Sandy) Hanley, and Tom (Karyn) Hanley; sister in law Cheryl May, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other friends.
Carol lived a remarkable life, fueled by her faith and devotion to her family. She was blessed to have close relationships with her sisters, Dee and Pat, and her brothers John and Tom, as well her Murphy-Garceau cousins. Sweethearts since they were 10, she and Dan enjoyed 53 years of marriage. They both graduated from The Ohio State University before deciding to grow their family and add four children. She was a teacher, homemaker, and worked at the Kettering Medical Center for 25 years, so in addition to being a devoted mother and wife she always landed in a profession that was "caretaker" driven. It suited her heart to serve others. She enjoyed volunteering at Interfaith Hospitality Network as well as traveling to the National Parks once she and Dan were both retired. Golf outings with three wonderful couples developed into an annual event that occurred for 40 consecutive years. In 1978, Carol and Dan began deepening their faith and developing lifelong friendships at Queen of Apostles. The community continues to be a source of strength for the Berridge family, ever reminding them Carol is no longer tethered by the constraints of this earthly world but instead rejoicing in her joyful, eternal life with our Lord.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Queen of Apostles Chapel (4432 E. Patterson Road Beavercreek, Ohio 45430). Mass will follow at 10:00am at the Chapel. Carol will be laid to rest at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
Memorial Contributions can be made in Carol's honor to Hospice of Dayton, Dynamic Senior Solutions, and/or InterFaith Hospitality Network.
