William Joseph Stamper, Sr., age 65 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born October 24, 1955 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to the late James and Billie Stamper.
Joe was a member of Set Free Ministries and was an entertainer for his church and other churches. He loved playing his guitar and writing songs. Joe was free spirited, a jokester, a handyman and a fisherman. He was loved by many people and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Stamper and Vanessa Morelock; brother, Timothy Stamper; and nephew, Tommy Lee Morelock
Joe will be missed by his son, William Joseph Stamper, Jr.; grandchildren, Gracie and Madison Stamper; siblings, Delores (Vince) Skaggs, Betty Millard, James Raleigh Stamper, Carol Stamper; life-long friend, Gerri Rodgers; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Monday, January 4, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Burial Woodland Cemetery. The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks be worn in all public places.
