Patricia Whaley "Pat", age 76, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020. She was born August 19, 1944 in Greenwood, Kentucky to the late George William and Gertrude Ollie (Thompson) Nevels.
She and her family were former members of Riverview Baptist Church in Miamisburg. Pat, along with her husband Lacy Lee Whaley were beloved Foster Parents for more than 20 years.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband Lacy Lee Whaley in 2016 and by her daughter Jacqueline Whaley in 2005. She is survived by her children, Samuel (Mariana) Whaley, Mark Loveless, Joseph (Kelly) Whaley, Denise Bowman, Brian (Ryei Kim) Loveless, Nathaniel (Sarah) Taylor; grandchildren, Heather Ashley Harville, Matthew (Ayla) Bowman, Jackson Whaley, Tyler Moore, Jonathon Gilbert, Dustin Loveless, Shawn Loveless, Kory Keough, Ginelle Keough, Calli Whaley, Cassidy Whaley, Isaiah Whaley, Dillon Chadwell, Jessie Jones, Tyra Jean Taylor, and Oliver Taylor. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Maya Harville, Naila Huerta, Sadie Huerta, Piper Bowman, along with sisters, Bernice (Gene) Bruhn, Glenna Reynolds, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pat enjoyed sewing, quilting, and puzzles. Most of all she dedicated her life to her family and many foster children over the years.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439. A graveside service following at 3:00 pm at Highland Memorial Cemetery, 723 Upper Miamisburg Rd., Miamisburg, OH 45342.
The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks will be worn in all public places.
